South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden’s office is now accepting applications for its Fall 2026 internship program.
The program offers students a chance to gain hands-on experience working inside the Governor’s Office and across state government.
Interns will assist with a variety of duties, including constituent services, policy work, legal affairs, and communications, with projects tailored to their individual interests and skills.
The in-person internship is expected to run from September through December, with flexible scheduling and the possibility of extended placements based on office needs.
Students interested in applying must submit a resume, cover letter, and a letter of recommendation by July 3.
Applications can be sent via email to morgan.reiss@state.sd.us.
