Authorities on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation are investigating two separate violent incidents, including a shooting that has led to an active manhunt.
Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement is searching for a suspect considered armed and dangerous after a shooting at the Sunrise Apartments left an adult woman injured.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment. Investigators have identified Jesse Menard as the suspect and are warning the public not to approach him.
Law enforcement issued a public safety alert, urging anyone who sees Menard to avoid contact and immediately call 911.
In a separate case, authorities are also investigating a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours of June 22.
Law enforcement is offering a ten-thousand-dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting death of Tylen Valandra.
Officials say both investigations remain active and are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information in either case is urged to contact law enforcement right away.
Authorities emphasize that public tips could be critical in both investigations.
