A 20-year-old was seriously injured after falling more than 100 feet from the north end of Boulder Hill over the weekend.
The fall prompted a multi-agency rescue effort Saturday, involving more than 20 personnel, including fire crews, search and rescue teams, and Keystone Ambulance.
Officials say responders faced difficult conditions during the operation, including strong winds, rain, and lightning from an afternoon storm.
The patient was secured in a rescue basket and lowered to the bottom of the hill in an operation that lasted about four and a half hours.
Authorities say they are hopeful for the victim’s recovery as the investigation continues.
