Rapid City Police are investigating a shooting involving multiple juveniles that left two teens hospitalized with serious injuries.
Officers were called to the area of East Omaha Street around 8:10 Saturday night. Investigators say two juvenile shooters were involved in an exchange of gunfire. One of the suspected shooters was wounded during the incident, and another was later located and detained by police.
The two juveniles who suffered gunshot wounds were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say those involved range in age from 13 to 17 years old.
One juvenile suspect has already been referred into the juvenile justice system, and authorities say similar actions are expected for other juveniles involved.
The investigation remains ongoing.
