DEADWOOD, S.D. – One person was injured after a recreational vehicle rolled over near Deadwood over the weekend.
According to Deadwood Fire and Rescue, crews responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover with possible entrapment near U.S. Highway 385 at mile marker 121.
First responders found a Mercedes-Benz RV overturned on a trail about 300 yards off the highway. Officials say bystanders helped the occupants get out of the vehicle before emergency crews arrived.
One person was transported to Monument Health Deadwood Hospital for treatment of injuries, although the extent of those injuries has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
