PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Secretary of State Monae Johnson is encouraging residents to nominate outstanding young leaders for the John Lewis Youth Leadership Award.
The award recognizes South Dakotans age 25 and younger who have demonstrated exceptional civic engagement, leadership, and community service.
Nominations must include an official application form, a photo of the nominee, and any supporting materials. All submissions are due by 5 p.m. Central Time on November 1st.
State officials say the award is designed to honor young people who are making a positive impact in their communities and inspiring others through public service.
