RAPID CITY, S.D. – A 35-year-old Rapid City man died Friday after a two-motorcycle crash on Nemo Road near Deadwood.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the rider of a 2013 Harley-Davidson was traveling south when he entered a curve and began to slide. Authorities say the motorcycle crossed into the path of a northbound 2002 Harley-Davidson, causing the two bikes to collide.
The Rapid City rider suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The other motorcycle’s driver and passenger, both from Minnesota, were taken to a Deadwood hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials have not yet released the names of those involved as they work to notify family members. The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
